Once you read Voddie Baucham’s Joseph, and the Gospel of Many Colors, you will never look at the Joseph account in Genesis the same way. For instance:
Did you know that the most important figure in this narrative is not Joseph? Neither is it Jacob/Israel. The key figure is actually Judah, even though he is neither the oldest son nor the favorite son.
Did you know that the key themes of the Joseph account, as is true throughout the book of Genesis, are Land, Seed, and Covenant.
Voddie Baucham is a competent scholar, yet this book is not difficult to read and should be easy for most Christians to comprehend. His writing style, like his public speaking, is winsome, pleasant, and glorifying to God. You get the sense that you are relating to one who has spent many hours seeking God’s direction in writing this book.
I highly recommend this book to anyone.
