Recent Reads – Dispatches from the Front

From time to time I will add short reviews of books/magazines/articles/etc. that I have read and which may be of interest to our members. Note that even though I will often post links to Amazon or other bookstores, neither myself nor Riverside Baptist Church receive any compensation. The links are there simply for your convenience, if you choose to purchase any of these please use your favorite site or bookstore.

The first book that I want to review is Dispatches from the Front by Tim Keesee. Even though I am a relatively fast reader, it took me several weeks to get through this book. Not because it was difficult to read, not because it is long, but simply because I was led to pray on almost every page. Keesee has a knack for describing what is going on around the world in a way that requires us to both rejoice in what God is doing as well as to support our brothers and sisters in prayer.

Dispatches from the Front

I would recommend that each and every Christian read this book. Doing so will give you a small vision of what God is doing around the world, and will serve as a catalyst for prayer.
